Bad Newz, starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, has been generating buzz ever since the release of its song “Tauba Tauba.” The film, which premiered in theaters on Friday, attracted a large audience on its first day.
A notable highlight of Bad Newz is the special appearances by Ananya Panday and Neha Sharma, adding an extra layer of excitement to the comedy drama.
Ahead of its release, the filmmakers hosted an exclusive screening on Thursday night for members of the film fraternity. The event was graced by the film’s cast and crew, along with Vicky Kaushal’s family. Vicky attended the screening with his wife, actress Katrina Kaif, who came out to support him.
Bad Newz is being touted as Vicky Kaushal’s biggest opening film to date, surpassing the opening day earnings of Uri: The Surgical Strike, which collected Rs 8.20 crore. With strong word-of-mouth promotion, the film’s earnings are expected to rise over the weekend, making it one of the top five opening films of the year so far.
Directed by Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz is considered a spiritual successor to the 2019 hit Good Newwz, which featured Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh. This film takes a comedic approach to the concept of heteropaternal superfecundation, exploring the chaos that ensues when two fathers, one mother, and one baby are involved.
The film is co-produced by Anand Tiwari, Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Amritpal Singh Bindra. Additionally, Neha Dhupia plays a significant role in Bad Newz.
