First held in 2014 at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia in Singapore, the event has since traveled to cities worldwide, including Los Angeles, New York City, and Mumbai. The 2024 event marks the 10th anniversary of YouTube FanFest, hosted in Mumbai.

In a groundbreaking moment for the gaming community, creators from 8Bit Creatives—Mortal, Payal, and Kaashvi took the stage at YouTube FanFest on August 1, 2024, making it the first time gaming was featured at this prestigious event.

The trio was met with enthusiastic fans, engaging in meet-and-greet sessions and interactive games. Their debut at YTFF showcased the growing impact of gaming in the digital space and was a memorable experience for all involved.

8Bit Creatives expressed their gratitude to YouTube for this remarkable opportunity, celebrating their milestone achievement of being recognized at such a significant event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also emphasized the vast potential of India’s gaming sector during his Independence Day speech at the Red Fort. He acknowledged the rapid growth of the industry and highlighted the need for India to transition from being consumers to producers in the global market.

A few months ago, Prime Minister Modi met with leading figures in the Indian gaming community, including Animesh Agrawal (8bit Thug), Payal Dhare (Payal Gaming), Naman Mathur (Mortal), Ganesh Gangadhar (SkRossi), Anshu Bisht (GamerFleet), and Mithilesh Patankar (MythPat).

This meeting underscored the importance of these gaming creators, who are making a significant impact on the industry.
