Indian Hockey Team Shines at Paris Olympics and this time at the Olympics, the Indian hockey team brought pride by winning a bronze medal after defeating Spain in the Paris Olympics.

The long wait of 52 years was finally broken, and now India has secured two back-to-back medals in the Olympics. The last time India won a medal in hockey was in the year 1972.

The Indian Hockey team has performed brilliantly in the Paris 2024 Olympics, winning a bronze medal by defeating Spain with a margin of 2-1 on Thursday. Following the historic win, prize money has been announced for the team.

The Odisha government had already declared a reward, and now the government of Madhya Pradesh, too, has taken a significant step. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, declared a reward amount of Rs 1 crore to Vivek Sagar Prasad.

Team India made history when they won a bronze medal for the second time in a row in the Olympics. This historic feat comes after a long wait of 52 years. As a result of this victory, financial rewards have started pouring in. Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Chief Minister, will be giving Vivek Sagar Prasad an award of Rs 1 crore for being a player of Madhya Pradesh, and he congratulated Vivek through a video call.

He tweeted, “Through a video call, I congratulated our Madhya Pradesh’s pride, Shri Vivek Sagar Prasad Ji, a bronze medalist and Indian hockey team player in the Paris Olympics. Vivek will be awarded Rs 1 crore by the Madhya Pradesh government.”

On the other hand, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced prize money for the hockey team, their coach, and assistant coach.

He has announced a reward of Rs 4 crore for Indian team defender Amit Rohidas. It has also been announced that each of the remaining players of the team will be given Rs 15 lakh, and the support staff will get Rs 10 lakh
